Account manager


design.bg is current seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow client relationships on one or more accounts. The ideal candidate should possess significant client services experience, specifically with respect to building and maintaining relationships with high-profile clients and translating their brands to the interactive space. The Account Manager is responsible for client satisfaction, account revenue growth, and overall business profitability in services delivery. This person will report directly to the Director of Account Management.


  • Manage account relationships with select client organization(s)
  • Ensure the success and satisfaction of individual client relationships
  • Grow client relationships in terms of revenue generated and account profitability
  • Develop and build new relationships with senior managers within client organizations
  • Responsible for client satisfaction ensuring deeper collaboration, new opportunities and repeat business
  • Serve as the design.bg conduit and internal champion for client initiatives
  • Provide internal teams with appropriate insight into clients’ strategic business initiatives
  • Oversee the development of detailed proposals and statements of work with the support of core team members
  • Proactively sell, manage customer expectations and communicate project and profit risks to design.bg team and client
  • Provide leadership, support and ongoing guidance to members of the project team
  • Have a position on industry trends, best practices, cross platform solutions, initiatives and issues
  • Understand marketplace dynamics and key players
  • Be fluent in and capable of selling the complete range of design.bg services

Required, education, experience & skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following areas: Business, Marketing, Communications, - Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3 years of Account Management experience in an Internet Marketing, Advertising, Game Development or Management Consulting discipline
  • Experience with managing large-scale, on- and/or offline projects and major client relationships
  • Demonstrated understanding of Customer Relationship Management, Content Management, Analytics, Digital Marketing, eCommerce and Internet Technologies
  • Skill in managing fiduciary relationships (e.g. pricing, margins, discounting, cost factors, etc.)
  • Ability to identify and qualify key clients and build long-term relationships
  • Productive track record in a client-service-intensive, team-oriented environment
  • Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of issues within e-business, including a strong working knowledge of third-party solution providers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially in situations involving consensus and team building, with strong problem solving skills related to program and account management
  • Motivated self-starter able to work in a client environment with a remote team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Superior organizational, communication, written, listening and interviewing skills
  • Strong analytical, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to create and optimize processes to generate and track leads and close business
